Bhagyashree, known for her role in the iconic film “Maine Pyar Kiya,” once found herself apprehensive about shooting a particular scene with actor Sameer Soni. The incident dates back to their film “Akhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se” released in 2001.
Sameer recently shared the incident during an interview, revealing that a romantic scene was scheduled to be shot. However, whenever he tried to approach Bhagyashree for the scene, she immediately stepped back, displaying discomfort. Both Sameer and the crew were puzzled as they couldn’t understand the cause of her unease.
The film, directed by Anil Ganguly, featured Bhagyashree in the role of a blind girl. The particular scene being shot was a honeymoon sequence, set against a beautiful backdrop near a moonlit window. Despite the picturesque setting, Bhagyashree repeatedly backed away whenever Sameer approached her.
After a while, Bhagyashree took Sameer aside and explained her hesitation. She candidly expressed her concerns, saying, “Sameer, please don’t take it personally, but I have small children. What will they think if they see me like this?” Sameer respected her decision and advised her to discuss the matter with the director.
While this incident created a momentary challenge during the film’s shoot, Bhagyashree has continued to work in the industry. Recently, she appeared in the film “Chhatrapati” alongside Bellamkonda Srinivas, portraying the role of his mother. Additionally, she made a cameo appearance in Salman Khan’s “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” sharing the screen with her husband Himalaya and son Abhimanyu Dassani.
