Hyderabad’s city traffic police have issued a notification in anticipation of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the city on Saturday. With a public meeting scheduled at the Parade Grounds, heavy traffic congestion is expected along various routes.
The traffic police have outlined the expected traffic flow for the movement of vehicles carrying attendees to the public meeting. The affected routes include Monappa (Rajiv Gandhi Statue) – Green Lands – Prakashnagar – Rasoolpura – CTO – Plaza – SBH – YMCA – St. John Rotary – Sangeeth crossroad – Alugadda Bavi – Mettuguda – Chilkalguda – Tivoli – Balamrai – Sweekar Upkar – Secunderabad Club – Trimulgherry – Tadbund – Central Point.
To facilitate the smooth movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy and ensure the security of the public, certain road sections will be closed. The traffic police have announced that the stretch between Tivoli crossroads and Plaza crossroads, as well as the route between SBH crossroads and Sweekar Upkar junction, will be blocked to traffic during the visit.
In light of these traffic restrictions, the city traffic police have advised residents to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternative routes to avoid the expected congestion around the Parade Grounds and Secunderabad train station on Saturday.
