Kangana Ranaut Faces Setback as Court Admits Violation of Building Rules, BMC’s Bulldozer to Take Action

Actress Kangana Ranaut has encountered a significant setback as Mumbai’s Dindoshi Civil Court ruled against her in a two-year-old case. While the court provided relief to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Kangana Ranaut has been accused of violating building rules. The controversy revolves around Kangana’s house in Mumbai, which has been embroiled in controversies for the past two years. The BMC alleges that illegal construction took place in Kangana Ranaut’s apartment, while Kangana filed a petition seeking a stay on the action.

Kangana Ranaut Faces a Major Blow from the Court

In the same case, the Civil Court has dismissed Kangana Ranaut’s petition. The court’s order clearly states that Kangana violated the rules during the construction of her house. It has been revealed that Kangana merged three flats into one unit and made alterations to the balcony, duct area, and common causeway without following the approved scheme, which is considered a serious violation. Additionally, Kangana failed to prove how the BMC’s notice was legally incorrect. Consequently, her petition was rejected, and she will not receive any relief.

Kangana to Approach the Bombay High Court

In response to the court’s ruling, Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer raised objections, stating that the BMC’s notice lacked clarity. However, the BMC’s lawyer countered by asserting that the notice highlighted eight serious violations, including the illegal use of balconies and other areas of the building. Following this setback, Kangana Ranaut intends to approach the Bombay High Court, hoping to secure relief there.

Background of the Case

The issue dates back to 2018 when the BMC notified Kangana Ranaut about multiple unauthorized modifications in the Khar area of Mumbai, exceeding the approved building plan. Kangana had purchased three flats on the fifth floor of the same building. Subsequently, the BMC issued a notice regarding the violations.

As the legal battle continues, the fate of Kangana Ranaut’s Mumbai house remains uncertain. The actress will now pursue her case at the Bombay High Court, seeking a favorable outcome.
