Recruitment firm Sigmar is to create 50 jobs at its new European Talent Hub in Tralee.

The roles will be will be in the area of IT, and employees will work alongside candidates from other countries.

Sigmar said that applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of experience and education, will be considered.

“Ireland has the talent to capitalise on current international recruitment opportunities,” Adrian McGennis, Sigmar recruitment CEO, said.

“This European Talent Hub will be a key element of Sigmar’s stated international growth. It’s also an operation where we can develop and test new technologies including robotics and artificial intelligence.  We have been working on the processes, technology and markets for some time to accelerate our international expansion.”

The recruitment comes on the back of a €1bn strategic partnership between Sigmar and French staffing giant Groupe Adéquat announced earlier this year.

The partnership deal is structured through a staged equity investment over a five-year period that will see Groupe Adéquat take majority interest.

Both companies are major players in their respective markets, and are seeking to expand nationally within Ireland and internationally through organic growth and acquisition.

The European Talent Hub in Tralee marks the partnership’s first significant investment in Ireland.

The jobs announcement was welcomed by both the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD and IDA Ireland CEO Martin Shanahan.
